BIO
Nic began sailing aged four on the Norfolk Broads. He followed the Royal Yachting Associations Youth system, winning multiple National and International titles including a Silver Medal at the 420 World Championships in 2002. In 2004 Nic was selected into the World Class Performance program in the 470 Olympic Class with his team mate Elliot Willis. They quickly rose to the top, winning the 470 World Championships in 2006. Unfortunately, due to an injury to Elliot in 2007, they missed out on selection for the Beijing Olympic Games. The pair came back stronger in 2008 winning the World Championship for a seond time and the European Championships. Unfortunately they did not have the opportunity to add the Olympic title as well. After medalling at every regatta in 2010, Nic suffered a health setback and had to step away from sailing to recover. In 2014 Nic hung up his Olympic sailing boots and joined the successful Ran Racing TP52 Sailing Team. Since then Nic has become one of the top Tacticians in the World and currently sails on the TP52 and RC44 circuits.
